JJ Curran’s 75th Homecoming Celebration Lights Up Detroit
Last, month the JJ Curran team, along with family, friends, and industry partners, came together at The Godfrey Hotel in Corktown to celebrate 75 years of family, community, and lifting Detroit. The evening was filled with great company, perfect weather, and plenty of moments that reminded us how far we’ve come—and how much there is to look forward to.
Guests enjoyed an incredible spread of food and drinks while exploring a historical exhibit that showcased decades of JJ Curran history, from our early beginnings in 1950 to today’s modern fleet.
During the main program, Jeff Curran, Larry Curran, and Colleen Curran each shared heartfelt remarks about the company’s legacy, family leadership, and the generations of people who have shaped JJ Curran Crane. Their reflections honored the vision of founder JJ Curran, celebrated the company’s growth, and looked ahead to an exciting future—including plans for a new headquarters facility.
The night also featured a special moment when the company presented a $10,000 donation to the Jamie Daniels Foundation, accepted by Ken and Lisa Daniels, continuing JJ Curran’s long tradition of giving back to the Detroit community.
As the evening came to a close, guests gathered by the windows overlooking the Detroit River for a show-stopping finale—an unforgettable drone show that lit up the night sky in celebration of JJ Curran’s 75 years of excellence.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this milestone celebration one to remember—and to Kevin Lee of FOX Sports and IndyCar, who brought his trademark energy and warmth as our MC.
Here’s to the next 75 years of family, hard work, and know-how. See the evening in pictures below:
