SC&RA Operator Safety Award
Crane Operator, Pat Farr, was recently awarded the Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association Crane & Rigging Group Crane Operator Award. The award is given to crane operators who exhibit exemplary work achievements while accumulating 10,000 consecutive man hours while recording zero accidents and incidents. In addition, the operator must have Zero lost calendar days, recordable injuries or illness according to the OSHA Log 300. Pat has worked over 31,000 hours while recording zeros in each of these categories.
As stated in Pat’s nominating letter, “Pat’s commitment to safety and attention to detail has led to zero injuries in his 14 years employed at JJ Curran Crane. Daily inspections and crane maintenance are completed in a thorough manner as well as job site safety assessments. Pat is certified by the NCCO and has completed all required safety training including the MUST Safety Program and several site specific programs. He leads his coworkers by example and customers often compliment his work and professionalism.”
