JJ Curran Crane Hits One out of the Ballpark
Detroit Tigers fans are enjoying the new LED scoreboard at Comerica Park thanks in part to JJ Curran’s crane work that dismantled the old scoreboard and helped place the new and much larger state-of-the-art LED digital sign in place.
JJ Curran used several machines to perform different functions of the project including a Grove 300 at 110-ft radius and a Grove 275 at 90-ft radius to work in tandem to remove the 72,000 lb steel truss (Tiger sign) and complete the demo work. They also used a RT 100 Ton to set the steel, columns and catwalk and a Grove 50 RT to set the LED Boards in place.
The project made the cover of Michigan Contractor & Builder’s April issue and highlights the entire team involved with the project.
